CSRHA Board of Directors Approve 2006 Legislative Positions

Dear Members of CSRHA:

On behalf of the Board of Directors and Advocacy Committee, we are pleased to provide you with California State Rural Health Association’s (CSRHA) current 2006 Advocacy Positions.

The advocacy positions are approved through a process which includes a thorough review and discussion by the CSRHA Advocacy Committee (AC) to ensure the organization’s values and guiding principles are promoted and protected. The AC then makes recommendations on advocacy positions to the Board of Directors, who votes via electronic mail.

The AC represents 15 rural health leaders in California who meet once a month by phone to evaluate and guide CSRHA’s advocacy strategy, positions and overall program. If you are interested in being a member of the AC, please consider nominating yourself or a colleague this year. To learn more, click here.

As a member, we encourage you to let us know about legislation impacting rural health in California. Please email Lauri Medeiros, CSRHA executive director at cmartin@csrha.org, if you have an issue you would like the Advocacy Committee to consider.
